January 8, 2014Hello!
I hope you all had a great holiday season these past few months. Truly, the holidays are a wonderful time of year. Except for the few who are in bad situations with their familes. I know you’re out there, and I feel for you. Really. I’m not in the best situation with my family either.
Anyways, we have been down since October or November, and I apologize. I’ve been in a slump since then, which is thankfully seeming to clear up now although I make no promises about staying out of it, and my motivation for everything dropped. Please don’t feel like it’s just KF.
As you have hopefully seen on our Facebook page, we have a new story coming, and the rest have been discontinued. Three stories is, for any young author (aspiring or not), too much to handle at once. It sucks up your creativity, in my experience. This story will be about a young girl (Cici? Clara? Racheal? Amber?) who we need a name for. It will be the traditional “childhood friend vs. new trouble-making guy” love triangle, similar to the one from the Iron Fey series (Julie Kagawa) and the Vampire Academy series (Richelle Mead). Both are wonderful series, and I am addicted! You may be wondering why I’m writing this with no main plotline, and part of it is to try and get people onto the team. As of now, we only have one or two people, and we haven’t really even asked them about any ideas. Plus, the stories they were to work on have been discontinued. Everything has, and will be moved to one big blog. The pieces will be removed from my computer and completely trashed. Except the notes, which may be handy with future pieces.
WE ARE STILL RECRUITING FOR OUR TEAM!!! PLEASE contact us if you are even remotely interested in joining! We need all the help we can get!
Joining the team is FREE. The only thing we ask is that you give us ideas when you have them, or when we are asking. Hopefully, these brainstorming meetings will be done through a Skype group call. If that doesn’t work for you, we can find another way through email, Facebook, or something else. We’ve got plenty of ways to communicate with people, and if we don’t have something (say Kik, for example) we are more than willing to get it if that’s the only way you have to actively communicate with us. It’s NOT a problem, as long as you are actively producing ideas. (By active, we mean once a week or so. Twice a week, even. That’s probably the most we’ll ask.)
Again, I hope you all had a very nice holiday season. The Vampire Academy movie comes out soon, so keep your eyes open! Also, please go read the books! They are AMAZING.
